The group held 14,000 soil samples in spreadsheets. Nobody outside the laboratory could read them.
What we built
A search page with three filters: region, year, and soil type. Each sample has a permanent URL, so a paper can cite it.
Result
Six universities now link to the archive. The group answers fewer email requests for raw data.
